During a 2-hour activity in French led by a guide-lecturer, children will explore the museum with a fun tour, followed by a hands-on art workshop on an entertaining and interesting theme. Let’s get started!
On Wednesday, October 23 at 10:00 a.m., "Cool Your Bauble with Artist Anne Merlet," as part of Christmas at the Museum.
Come to the museum and learn how to create a porcelain Christmas ornament with artist Anne Merlet! Young apprentice ceramicists will learn the various stages of creating a porcelain object and can use their decoration for the holiday season! The creations can be collected from the museum a few weeks after the activity.
Note for this visit: The creations can be collected from the museum a few weeks after the activity.
On October 26 at 10:00 a.m., children can participate in the "Christmas Miniatures with Artist Anne Merlet" workshop, as part of Christmas at the Museum.
Ceramist Anne Merlet is back at the museum! Accompanied by a guide-lecturer, children will first discover the museum’s collections on the theme of winter. Once inspired, they will join the workshop to model their own Christmas miniatures in porcelain, with guidance from the artist. The creations can be collected from the museum a few weeks after the activity.
On Wednesday, October 30 at 10:00 a.m. and Friday, November 1 at 10:00 a.m., take your place "At the King's Table."
A disaster has occurred! The king and Madame de Pompadour have lost all their tableware. To help them, children will investigate and search for clues scattered throughout the museum. Once the valuable items are found, the young detectives will head to the workshop to paint a porcelain object inspired by the famous works of the Royal Manufacture of Sèvres.
On Saturdays, December 7 and 21 at 2:30 p.m., children can participate in the "Decorate the Museum's Christmas Tree!" activity, as part of Christmas at the Museum.
As the holiday season approaches, children are invited to sit by the Kropper stove to listen to a guide-lecturer tell them a story. But is it really just a story? The children will then search for the characters in the museum rooms! The activity will continue in the workshop, where they can create a clay decoration for the museum's tree... or for home!
Each visit is limited to 12 participants. Reservations are recommended.
