Discover your Workshop
The visit begins with a tour of the collections, followed by a hands-on art workshop based on the theme defined in the program. These visits are in French.
On Saturday, January 18th at 10am, take part in the “My ceramic candlestick” visit-workshop.
As the first workshop tour of the year, our guide invites you to create a clay candlestick. Before setting off on your workshop tour, you will be introduced to several of the museum's historic works, all are related to light. Once consolidated, your candleholder will be ready to adorn your most beautiful holiday tables, shelves or even your bathroom!
On Saturday, January 25th at 10a.m., work on your creativity during the “Calligram on porcelain” visit-workshop organized as part of the Reading nights. Words are the focus of this new tour! First, lend an ear: a guide-lecturer will tell you poems and stories before suggesting that you find the works that echo these stories. Then it's off to the workshop! It's up to you to create your own calligram on a porcelain plate, a form of poetry invented by Guillaume Apollinaire, in which words are arranged to form a design related to the story.
On Saturday, March 1st at 10am, take part in the “My little ceramic lamp” activity. The history of ceramics is littered with the production of decorative objects such as lamps. In all shapes, sizes and colors, discover the museum's objects related to light and design, then create a ceramic lamp base in the workshop.
[EACD] - On Saturday, April 5th at 10am, as part of the European Artistic Crafts Days, take part in the “Porcelain jewels” activity with ceramist Elvire Blanc Briand. For the first time, the Adrien Dubouché national museum welcomes ceramist Elvire Blanc Briand. At the crossroads of art and craft, come and discover some of her works in the museum, then let her guide you through the process of making your own porcelain jewel.
Products can be collected from the museum a few weeks after the activity.
[This activity is limited to 8 participants.]
On Saturday, May 17th from 10pm to 11:30pm, take part in the “Porcelain Play Card” activity on the occasion of European Nights of Museums. This free activity is open to all, and no reservation is necessary. Did you know that the museum's collections include several plates decorated with playing cards, signed Salvador Dali (with the Raynaud factory), Guilhem Nave and Michel Lassont (for Animal Fabuleux) or from the La Rochelle earthenware factory? Take inspiration from these creations and decorate your own porcelain plate with your most beautiful card!
This free activity is open to all, and no reservation is necessary.
On Saturday, May 31st at 2pm, take part in the “Porcelain bouquet of flowers” activity with ceramist Anne Merlet, who is back at the museum with a new workshop combining flowers and porcelain! In her company and that of a tour guide, discover the delicate pastillage technique by studying the floral pieces from the Locré-Russinger factory on display in the collections, then try your hand at reproducing this technique on porcelain domes.
Productions can be collected from the museum a few weeks after the activity.
[This activity is limited to 6 participants.]
On Saturday, June 7th at 10 a.m., as part of the Rendez-vous in the gardens, take part in the “Tea Time” guided tour. Originating in China, the ancestral art of tea spread throughout Asia before conquering the heart of Europe. From the highly codified Japanese ceremony to the English tradition of afternoon tea, discover the history of this beverage across the world and through the ages. Then decorate a Limoges porcelain teacup with the help of a museum guide.
Reservations are recommended.
