Designed and adapted for visually impaired and blind visitors, these guided tours in French emphasize touch and oral description to discover the museum's works in a different way.
On Monday, February 17th at 2:30pm, take part in a guided tactile tour of the museum, entitled “The History of Costume”. For every country, habits and customs have defined clothing through time. Statuettes, iconography and ceramic objects all bear precious witness to the history of costume through the ages. Through a selection of works, discover their captivating and unsuspected stories by touch.
[EACD] - On Monday, March 31st at 2:30pm, join the “Porcelain Professions” tour as part of the European Artistic Crafts Days. From a lump of clay to a work of art, discover the little hands involved in the production of a porcelain piece. Touch the components and tools used to form a porcelain object, and understand how some of the museum's finest pieces were made. Then try your hand at the age-old colombin technique!
On Monday, May 19th at 2:30 pm, take part in the guided tour “Ceramics, material effects". A ceramic object can be made of terracotta, stoneware, faience or porcelain. An essential artistic creation since the Neolithic period, ceramics has taken on many appearances and followed many fashions according to the periods and civilizations it has passed through. This tour invites you to touch and explore the 1001 textures of ceramics.
These tours are limited to 12 participants, including accompanying adults.
