Discover your Workshop
After discovering the works in a playful way, young and old alike can try their hand at an original creative activity. This visit-workshop is designed to encourage interaction between the child and his/her companion. The adult takes part in the activity and must accompany the child or children taking part.
On Saturday, January 25th at 2.30pm, as part of the “Reading Nights" program, take part in a family tour entitled “Stories on porcelain”. Enjoy a sweet moment with your family, with tales and stories on ceramics. After a visit to the museum's library, you are all expected to take part in the museum's workshops to invent a story on porcelain plates.
[This tour is limited to 16 participants, including accompanying adults.]
On Wednesday, January 26th, on Saturday, April 26th and on Wednesday, April 30th at 2:30 p.m., join one of our guided tours and discover the “Myths and mythologies” at the museum. A recurring theme in the history of art, myths and mythology populate the decor of the museum's ceramics. Discover them on this tour and hear the fabulous stories behind them. Then head off to the workshop to model a Greek mythological hero in clay!
On Thursdays, February 27th, March 6th, April 24th and on Saturday, May 10h at 2:30 p.m., visit the museum in a different way by following our guide in “Our imaginary universe”. To coincide with the “Catherine Bernis, Worlds of paper and porcelain” exhibition, come and discover the artist's imaginary and poetic territories, where marvelous islands, unoccupied planets and mysterious caves mingle. Then, as a family, have fun creating your own imaginary world by mixing materials such as paper and porcelain!
[Carnaval] - On Sunday March 2nd, all day from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm, take advantage of the museum's free admission on the first Sunday of the month to meet Colombine, who is back at the museum and in love with Harlequin. Help her organize a tryst as bright and cheerful as the colors of Carnival by completing a booklet-game in the collections. Then discover what Harlequin's favorite costume looks like and where it's hidden, and head to the workshop to create the mask Harlequin will wear at Carnival on a porcelain plate!
This free, open activity requires no reservation.
Join us on Wednesdays, March 5th, April 23rd and on Friday, May 2nd at 2.30pm for a tour entitled “100 years of Art Deco”. Art Deco is celebrating its 100th anniversary! Come and learn more about this festive and colorful artistic movement by taking part in an activity in the collections. The discovery continues in the educational workshops, where you can paint a porcelain plate with multicolored elements and golden geometric motifs, inspired by a key work in the museum.
