Discover your Guided tour
Discover one of the world’s most important collections of old weapons and armour. Your guided tour will begin at the Royal Room, which is the former dining hall of Les Invalides whose impressive wall paintings by Parrocel (circa 17th century) have recently been restored.
You will discover the prestigious collection of royal armour which belonged to Francis I, Henry IV, Louis XIII… You will also discover armour for children. Your guide will detail the evolution of weapons: from chain mail to artillery (shields, spears, richly decorated cannons…) as well as collections related to hunting, jousting and tournaments.
Your guide will then lead you to the Arsenal, a collection that exhibits 2,500 pieces of weapons and armour. In fact, the Army Museum houses the globe’s 3rd most important collection of arms and old armour.
Your ticket includes the access to collections and temporary exhibitions. It will allow you to continue your exploration of the Musée de l'Armée in complete freedom at the end of your guided tour.
